Robert Pennekamp invites you into an alternative dimension where love, compassion, and unity are central. His vivid and expressive works embody a deep inner knowing and depict a better world, free from power and corruption. Inspired by life itself, nature, and spirituality, Pennekamp believes that everything is interconnected and that nothing is as it seems. We perceive only a small part of reality, each of us viewing our own reality from a unique perspective.
In his work, Pennekamp uses mixed techniques on canvas, including homemade paint, natural pigments, medium, oil paint, and acrylic. For some pieces, he even utilized the kickboxing mats from Mejiro Gym, where world champions train daily. These unique materials bring an extra dimension of strength and history to his art.
Pennekamp views painting as a process in which he works intuitively, engaging in a constant dialogue with the painting, without knowing beforehand what the final image will be. Guided by intuition and spirituality, he creates a new reality that invites reflection on our society and the universe.
Following the exhibition opening, a live performance will further explore and expand on the themes in Robert’s work.
