Papa Oyeyemi

Papa Oyeyemi (1992) is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and cultural thinker from Lagos. His work centers around identity, gender, and queer emancipation, blending West African textile traditions with a futuristic visual style. Internationally acclaimed, his designs have been featured at events such as Milan Fashion Week.

Beyond fashion, Oyeyemi is active as a curator, writer, and image-maker, with a strong focus on underrepresented narratives. He founded Bó Young Creatives, a living archive that supports emerging Nigerian talent. During Pride 2025, he presents the exhibition Jollof for Love at Hotel Arena, a powerful tribute to queer resilience and connection.
