Depth of Field is an in-depth photography exhibition at Hotel Arena that brings together historical and contemporary works. Spanning from 19th-century carbon prints by Adolphe Braun to contemporary photography by Lou Lou van Staaveren, the exhibition offers a focused glimpse into the richness of photography, revealing the medium’s extraordinary range of subjects and techniques.

About the Founders

DOF was founded by Wendela Hubrecht and Joris Jansen, who both studied arts with a specialization in photography. They opened a gallery in the Hazenstraat Amsterdam as a way to share their passion for rare and authentic photographic works. DOF collects unique pieces with strong visual storytelling, featuring both renowned and overlooked photographers. Drawing on their expertise, the founders aim to connect collectors and audiences with the rich legacy of photography.
